Sharon Parris has been an integral part of the Pender team for 4 years, serving as the Client Care Lead. In this role, she ensures that every guest and their pet receives a warm and personalized welcome, setting a positive tone for their stay. Her goal for every pet that comes through the door is the same as every staff member at Pender: treat them as if they are your own.
Sharon’s interest in animal care has been a long-standing passion. From a young age, she was captivated by animals and their well-being, leading her to pursue opportunities that would allow her to work closely with them. She initially joined Pender to gain practical experience and to better understand how she wanted to contribute to the animal care field. This initial step was driven by her desire to deepen her knowledge and refine her skills in a hands-on environment.
Throughout her time at Pender, Sharon has been cross-trained in several positions, gaining extensive knowledge and versatility. This cross-training has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of our operations, allowing her to seamlessly assist in various roles and provide exceptional service across the board. Her initial goal of learning how to effectively work with animals has evolved into a broader commitment to the well-being of every pet she encounters.
Outside of her work, Sharon is dedicated to self-improvement and enjoys a diverse range of interests. She is an avid reader, a computer game enthusiast, and values quality time spent with friends.
Sharon currently has one furry family member, Junimo, an 8-month-old Pit Bull puppy that was rescued through Pender. Despite her craziness, she is the sweetest pup you’ll ever meet. She loves coming to work with Sharon and hanging out with her family away from home. In the future, Sharon hopes to rescue more pets in need and continue growing her family with Junimo by her side.
