What makes Pender Pet Retreat so special?

It all starts with us selecting only passionate pet lovers for our team and having 6 acres of suites and trails helps too!  Additionally, we have trained staff on site 24/7.  We’ve been serving the Northern Virginia community for over 35 years and understand the needs of pet owners and their companions.  We strive to offer the absolute best value of any pet retreat around and encourage everyone to drop in for a tour during our lobby hours.  It’s one thing to read it here, its another to see for yourself.

What types of animals board at Pender Pet Retreat?

We accommodate all ages, sizes, and shapes of healthy cats and dogs here at our 6 acre retreat.  Cats have their own separate comfy condo area and dogs stay in several different sized suites, depending on weight and owner preference.

What types of extras do you offer?

At Pender Pet Retreat, our pet guests can enjoy different activity and spa packages designed to keep your pet engaged and pampered throughout each day of their stay with us.  We also offer pet owners their choice of individual activities and spa services through our a’ la carte menu.  Our friendly canine guests can also opt to add group play sessions to their stay provided they pass a temperament test during their stay. Where is Pender Pet Retreat located?

We are conveniently located at 4508 Upper Cub Run Dr., just off the intersection of Stonecroft Rd. and Willard Rd., near the auto dealerships just off of Rte 28 and Rte 50.  For those flying away on vacations of their own, we are very close to Dulles International Airport (IAD), feel free to drop off your pet on the way to the airport and pick up on the way home.

My pet is on daily medication, can he stay at Pender Pet Retreat?

Yes, we accept healthy dogs and cats who must take regular oral medication, just give us detailed instructions and we’ll take care of the rest.  If your pet requires injections, frequent observation, or attention from medical personnel we recommend you choose medical boarding at the 24/7 Pender Veterinary Centre in Fairfax, VA.

What happens if my pet needs medical treatment during their stay?

The health and well being of our guests is our top priority. We are the only boarding facility in the area that has a Licensed Veterinary Technician on staff to monitor our boarding canines and felines to ensure everyone remains healthy during their stay. If any medical concerns do arise, Pender Veterinary Centre at Dulles Gateway, Ltd. is located inside the main building on campus and sees regular appointments as well as handling any elective procedures our guests may request during their stay.

I’m moving out of the country, can you help me ship my pet to my new country?
